All These Evils Come Detective Gideon Series Volume 1 Joey Hendrix Adam Swenson Brandon Miller Jon Horsman 9780990693406 Books
Joey Hendrix is a fantastic writer with a knack for plunging the reader right into his characters' minds. I was immediately immersed into the hot, muggy weather of Savannah, Georgia, walking alongside Detective Gideon as he fights his way through his own demons and fears to figure out the truth and find justice for his victims.Detective Gideon is honorable and proud, with an innate kindness and a thirst for justice. He's exactly the kind of hero that I love reading about, the kind that is strong, but not too proud to say when he needs help.
The story itself was awesome. Creepy at times, because there is evil in this world, but still there is hope. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

All These Evils Come Detective Gideon Series Volume 1 Joey Hendrix Adam Swenson Brandon Miller Jon Horsman 9780990693406 Books Reviews
This story introduces Gideon, a detective who recently moved to a slower-paced Savannah in hopes of pursuing a career less focused on the darkness he'd experienced in urban Atlanta.
Pacing of the story was very good, and held my attention almost from the very start, yet Hendrix was able to still spend time on character development particularly with Gideon.
Would recommend to anyone looking for a mystery/thriller/police procedural.
I just finished reading All These Evils Come and am amazed at how much I liked it. This book was recommended to me and I hesitated to read it because murder mysteries are not something I usually enjoy. This book was different, it got my interest on the first page and held it right to the end. I will definitively be recommending this book to my friends and family and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Great job Joey Hendrix!
This book was amazing I could not put it down. It grabbed my attention from the first chapter and had it till the very last sentence. I had to know what happened next and even when I had to put the book down my mind wandered to what might have been going on in the next chapters. I can not wait for the next books to follow and will be reading this one again soon.
All These Evils Come drew me in and kept me intrigued. Just like any great murder mystery, there was anxiety in my chest as I read the final chapters. But the book is more than your run of the mill crime drama. There is a spiritual and philosophical undercurrent that appeals to all readers. Detective Gideon is a complex character that readers can identify with on several levels. It's hard to believe that this is the first novel published by the author. I can't wait to read more about Gideon, and I am anxiously awaiting the publication of the next book in the series.
Wow what a great book I started it at 12noon and could not put it down I finished it at 830pm I'm hoping there Will be more books to follow. I total feel in love with Gidleon & Jessica. Joey really knows how to keep you captivated in his story. I highly recommend this book. The only hard part was when Kojack was hurt
It is so refreshing to discover new authors with such unique talent. The complexities of the characters and juxtaposition of good vs. evil in this novel are fascinating. The storytelling here reminds me much of "criminal minds" a television show in which the psyche of detectives and killers alike are examined and tested. The internal (as well as external) struggles of the characters are relatable and their defects make them all the more human (and likable). The protagonist, Gideon, is shown struggling with his past and eventually comes to terms with it,which is an inspiring message to any reader whose past held them back. Although the dark content may not be the every readers liking, the content is presented in a tasteful manner and is necessary to the plot. This is a wonderful read and insight into the human condition. It is one of the few books I would read again.
"All These Evils Come" is a book that keeps you guessing all the way to the end. Once you're drawn in to Detective Gideon's world, it's hard to leave without answers. The characters are complex and realistic and make the reader feel part of their world. The different twists and turns leave you guessing what will happen next and who the real killer is. The book is much more than a murder mystery, but a book that delves into the psychological motivations for a twisted killer who hunts and destroys the lives of a very specific prey. However, it's not all dark and dreary. The author shows the reader goodness in Detective Gideon's world; Mrs. Weaver is a light to contrast the evils he combats every day, leading him out of his depressed, dark hole. I absolutely loved this book and all the different side stories within the main story. I look forward to the next Detective Gideon book, hopefully I won't have to wait too long!
